About
Hans Bukow
LinkedInA serial venture-backed technology founder and CEO who has built, financed, scaled, repositioned, turned around and exited technology companies across four decades of technology change.
The point of this history is not the résumé. It is pattern recognition — the ability to look at your company's current stage and recognize which problem you actually have, which one is a symptom, and what a founder in your position doesn't want to get wrong next.

Building categories, not just products
Hans's first company, FASTech, helped define manufacturing execution software — selling complex systems into some of the most demanding factories in the world. Most of that revenue ultimately came from semiconductor and electronics manufacturers in Korea, Taiwan, Japan and Southeast Asia, which meant learning early that a technology thesis has to survive translation into markets that evaluate credibility very differently. Later, with eWork and Provade, he did it again in vendor management systems.
Financing and rebuilding under pressure
Raising capital is one skill; keeping a company alive and investable through a downturn is another. Hans has raised more than $35M, taken a European company through a NASDAQ First North listing, and led a turnaround from substantial losses to profitability at more than $40M in revenue. He has operated through the dot-com collapse, the 2008 financial crisis, pandemic disruption and now the AI transformation.
Operating between the Americas, Europe and Asia
Hans holds US, Brazilian and Portuguese/EU citizenship and has built and staffed teams across three continents. That is not a travel résumé — it is the reason he can tell an international founder which of their instincts will read as strength in the US market and which will quietly cost them credibility.
Current in the AI era
Hans is actively building and advising in the AI era, including through Globiant, a separate venture-building platform focused on taking proven AI companies into Brazil and other international markets. AmerEU is the advisory practice: direct, fee-based counsel to founders and CEOs, independent of that portfolio work.
Across technology generations
Experienced across technology generations. Active in this one.
From factory automation and enterprise software to cloud platforms and agentic AI, Hans has built through successive transformations in how technology companies create and capture value.
AI has changed what companies can build, how fast they can operate and what investors expect. It has not eliminated the need for repeatable go-to-market, operational control, leadership, capital discipline and sound CEO judgment.
